DVC Merchandise?

So many DVCers were "home" recently. Can anyone tell me what (if any) new DVC merchandise is available? Annmarie

Recent trip was a January trip to HH.

Most of the "new" merchandise has gotten away from the green and beige to blue and beige. Although there was still a fair amount of the green and beige. Hats, jackets, golf shirts, long sleve Ts, and sweatshirts mostly. The only real change I noticed was the addition of "Members are Magical" to just about everything.

As always, the merchandise looked great and was a bit over priced.

I bought a navy blue "members are magical" jacket at the Beach Club gift shop this weekend. I saw a similiar windbreaker on our December trip, but this one is more heavy, like a microfiber and I liked it better. $75 plus tax.

I guess there's not a web site where we can view/purchase merchandise? I'd like to see what they have(other than when visiting the world). I think there should be a link on the member's only website where we can purchase DVC merchandise. Has this ever been discussed? JMO.

In the "good old days" they used to have a catalog, but, they stopped that, I doubt they will put it on the website.

I am relatively new to DVC (this past November) but have thought how nice it would be to be able to purchase from the DVC member web site. It would be nice to have a couple of "exclusive" items on the site that cannot be purchased at the resorts. At the resorts, anyone can purchase the DVC logo. I would like to see more items such as attache's for business use.

SheriB: I purchased the navy wind breaker last November and just love it! It washes up great at home. I live in Texas and it is not always cold enough to wear a heavy coat and this jacket is just right for much of our weather.

Most of the DVC merchandise at WDW is at all the locations and seems to run on the dark side - navy blue - Beach Club did have a brighter blue tho. I was told at the BWV that the spring line will be coming out soon but the CM wasn't sure what it would be.

DVC members have been asking for expanded product lines for years! We have constantly petitioned Disney to make more DVC stuff and to sell it at the resort stores, via a website, via the Vacation Magic newsletter, and via a mail-order catalog. As money-hungry as Disney is, this seems to be a target audience that the company is completely ignoring. And for the life of me I cannot figure out why! Isn't the DVC membership around 60,000+ families by now? I should think that potential purchasing power would have Disney sending out at least an mail-order catalog at least once a year; or at least sticking a flyer inside one of the Vacation Magic newsletters.

Back in the early 1990's when our family joined the DVC, there were bathrobes, engraved pens, a larger selection of glassware, nightshirts, decals, just to name a few items. My favorite item was the personalized embroidery service where you could take any clothing item to the Conch store and have a "members" tag line in any color thread you wanted added to the clothing. Unfortunately, according to the CMs who work there, this service was provided by a single lady, who died a couple years ago. (I know you can now take clothing over to Downtown Disney for the same service, but the original way was a DVC-exclusive.)

If I could be in charge of DVC merchandise, I would add:
- DVC exclusive watches
- DVC name badges (aka CM style)...this could list the year you joined and your home resorts along with your name and the DVC logo)
- DVC pin set with a pin for each resort
- DVC picture frames
- DVC wool blanket (I think only BC or BW has this)
- DVC cross-stitch kit (I love the DVC logo cross-stitch that was done by a member and which hangs on one of the picture walls next to Olivia's restaurant)
- DVC stained-glass window ornament
- DVC stationery
- miniature DVC pvc water tower (maybe in a tabletop fountain)
- miniature DVC toy vans (both the blue hospitality/tour vans and the yellow adventure bus parked at AK) to park on my desk at work
- DVC charm bracelet charms
- DVC passport that can be stamped at each resort and also used to record all of your DVC visits
- DVC scrapbook
- bring back the DVC bathrobes and DVC Bellhop Mickey

Of course, I would want all this stuff to use the DVC mountain-and-sun logo and colors, not the current lighthouse theme.

What other DVC stuff would you like to buy, if it were available?

Pinhopper,

I agree with your list but I would also love to see DVC drinking glasses and other household items.

We never get tired of our fantasy DVC merchandise list!

I'd add:

luggage tags
bumper stickers
leather CD case
leather palm case
coasters
stirrers
magnets

Some of the items available at BWV are cool, but they only have the BWV postal stamp logo on it, not the DVC logo. We DVC members don't want to be confused with BWI guests! ;)

I luv that list pinhopper - any DVC merchandise would be welcome here! It sure would be nice if DVC would let us know of merchandise in our Vacation Magic - they check the boards, so I'm told, but anytime I mention merchandise I'm told to email DVC and let them know of our concerns.

One more item that should be tops on all of our lists should be a DVC "mouse" pad!! Annmarie

pinhopper, great idea to bring back DVC merchandise..where do I send my check to get on this magical mailing list LOL.:D

Last month I received my Personalized License Place it proudly reads "DVC OKW". Looking forward to our first trip since getting it in a few days. :bounce:

There is a DVC mouse pad - I spotted it on the Member Cruise that I was on recently! But it is another item that they do not sell at this time.
