DVC Members - Will Add Dining Plan - What About PRE PAY Required Reservations?

So it's my understanding that when making reservations I need to pre-pay for some higher end meals, most importantly to me this trip - CRT.
If you have a magic your way plan with dining plan the system sees that and pre-pay is not required, no credit card needed while doing online reservations.

We are DVC and will add the dining plan to our reservation - do I need to do this before I try to make online reservations - will the system see I have the dining plan and not require a credit card or pre-payment.
Which actually brings up another question, is it pre-pay or just CC to secure, not charged unless I cancel last minute or no-show?

Anyway, help as always is greatly appreciated!!!

If you haven't added the dining plan then you need to prepay for CRT and any dinner shows when you make your ADR. If you do have the DDP before making your ADR they will require a CC in case of no show/last minute cancellation. There are others that will require a CC in case of no shows/last minute cancellation (Akershus, Cali Grill). If you add the DDP after you pre-pay, you can get a refund when you show up to your meal.
