DVC Members Smoking or Non-Smoking

Are there really more members that are Non-Smoking than Smoking?

Just wondering.

..........I would guess to say 75% or more don't smoke.

While I'd venture to guess that the percentage of DVC owners that smoke is probably higher than that in the general US population (allowing for foreign owners, where smoking is much more common), I'm sure at least 75% are non-smoking...but it is nice to have the option of a smoking room for those rare occasions when we do travel with a smoker.

Well I'm guessing this should be over on the DVC board perhaps. But I'm going to answer it. One thing I think Disney has done well is to make sure the non-smoking rooms don't get any smoke smell from the smoking rooms. So far I have been in 3 DVC resorts and my non-smoking is always very fresh smelling. Not that way in some other resorts or hotels.

I'm a terrible reformed smoker! 7 years now and never to return. It's so bad that if the person in the car ahead of me is smoking I can smell it.

But DH does. Never in the house though.

I wonder if the foreign component is that statisticaly significant and that different in smoking behavior.

I would think the % is real close to the us %.

Why would this get bumped off the DVC board?

The CDC puts the smoking population at 23.1% of the US. More men than women.

Smoking decreases with level of education.
No high school or GED. 31.9%
Bachelor's degree or higher 10.9%

Sorry for all this statistical stuff I'll go back to my regularly scheduled sillieness.
