DVC Member Weekly Get-Together ?

I'm a new member - the ink is barely dry on my contract - but I vaguely recall something about weekly (maybe) DVC get-togethers at either BWV or BCV - am I just hallucinating this?

If there is such a get-together, could someone share the place, date and time?

Welcome Home Wednesdays*
Welcome Home Wednesdays is the newest Member event at the Walt Disney World® Resort. These interactive gatherings take place on most Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. inside Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney's BoardWalk entertainment district. They present Members and their family and friends with the latest Disney Vacation Club scoops and exciting updates - through a high-energy, interactive game show. Deevy See, a beloved diva at many Member events, is among the zany cast of characters who may be the game show's surprise host on any given date.

Members and their family and friends enjoy light refreshments while testing their knowledge in a variety of Disney categories, including Home Resorts, Perks, "Where in the World?," and the ever popular "Mousellaneous."

Schedules and locations for Welcome Home Wednesdays are subject to change, so be sure to look for details in your check-in folder during your next Walt Disney World® vacation.

Atlantic Dance Hall on Wednesdays 4 to 5 PM. It's a pretty nice way to spend an hour, especially if it's very hot outside or raining! I've been twice, both times solo. You get some lemonade and a package of chips/cracker jacks and watch a game show with DVC members as players. Prizes, mostly but not all DVC merchandise, there were some nice gift certificates to restaurants prizes when I was there in March.

As you leave you get some token. Each time that I've been it was DVC baseball cap.

I would go if it was convenient. Once I was staying at BCV, and the other time at BWV, with time to spare before dinner.

We were there last week ... seems like so long ago.....
Portobello's provided some delicious appetizers along with the chips and lemonade provided by DVC. For us, this was a wonderful way to get out of the insane heat! We had a table to sit at, were in air conditioning and had nice restrooms. There were some nice randomly chosen door prizes given and everyone in attendance received a blue DVC ball cap upon leaving.

It's a nice way to spend an hour or so and if you have the time available, I'd say do it.
