DVC Member site down..again..and still! So frustrating!

Have tried all morning to do a few different things on the website. I am booking flights today, and needing to update names on some reservations, but can't do anything. It has been over 4 hours now, and cannot even login. I understand maintenance, outages and such, but this is a bit extreme for an integral site for owners to be down this long in the the middle of the day. Just venting..
 
It was up for a short time around 12:30/1:00 EST and then back down again. Why this is routinely an issue for an over 200 billion dollar company is puzzling to say the least.
 
I was able to book a reservation this morning, but never got an e-mail confirmation and now I can't log back in either.

100% agree!! Having been an Imagineer and CM, I can tell you that a large portion of their IT staff are outsourced. Even given that information, this type of issue for this long, should not be happening. We're all human, but, interestingly enough.. DME doesn't care that I cannot link my resort reservations and therefore, creates unnecessary issues for Members. A very big ripple effect that this sort of outage creates

I feel your pain, it's such an amateur set up and it keeps on happening.
 
It was out early this morning (3a-6:30a). About 7 am, I was able to make a reservation for one night and had to use a different membership to do it.

I wanted to modify a reservation adding one night but it kept coming up with more points than necessary and asking me to borrow extra points! I've been stalking this one night all week.

Now I will have to call and ask MS to *link*, well they can't really because it is two different membership numbers. The best they will be able to do is put a note on both reservations so my son and DIL don't have to move. Something was screwed up even after it came back up. I actually did get the confirmation email.

I'm 10 and 12 days out from renewing AP's and holding my breath the renewal rate doesn't go up before then, but it probably had nothing to do with AP's!

Ugh!! It always seems to be something. I hope they don't have to move..that is such a pain! I renewed my AP yesterday after also holding my breath hoping I could renew! With the Disneyland AP news hitting, that gives me hope. I also read the rumors that renewals would halt in July, which didn't happen. I seriously have no idea how DVC has any value whatsoever without AP's! The reservation system is a pain, but at least manageable on some levels. The frustration levels seem to just be increasing and value diminishing.
