Lots of posters looking for discounts from the mouse -- in this economy, with the possibility of serious inflation on the horizon (if not already here), I just don't see Mickey cutting anyone a break on a longer-term pass.
Notice that the new Legoland park, with no tradition, just trying to build a base, is charging about 16x their premium pass for a lifetime pass. Disney could command double that premium easily -- you don't think some high rollers would pay $15K (25?, 50?) for both the benefits and prestige of having the ultimate Key to the Kingdom? There's another thread discussing the mark-up that DVD is able to enjoy on BLT -- a conservative estimate is 600%. I certainly don't begrudge Disney's success, but Disney is the place where magic happens -- and magic costs money.
