At WDW now, arrived Dec 1. Resort system was down for "upgrade."

We received a temporary room key, but when upgrade was complete we received our "real" KTTW cards. They so not indicate a DVC Member status anywhere. I don't know if this is the new norm, or just a fluke because the system was down. If it is the norm, I would guess you need you actual Membership card now for all perks.

Where it used to say "**DVC MEMBER** it now says "Room Only A02" I assume that means a room only reservation, like an AP cash reservation, with 2 adults in the room.

If anyone has arrived after December 1, it will be interesting to see if their cards say DVC Member.

wow that must be new. The A02 means there are two adults on the ddp.

Which resort are you staying at?

Chuck, we arrived on Dec. 1st as well (here at OKW also), and our keys also say the same as yours....we are NOT on the DDP.

We arrived on Dec. 2 at OKW and our KTTW cards state "DVC Room Only A02" - so no "DVC Member" here either, but at least some reference to DVC.

These keys are now part of the new system, so they will reflect the nature of the reservation even though reserved using points. I suspect that the "DVC" reference replaces the "DVC mermber" notation used for years.

"Room only" means the reservation is not part of any package that would include tickets or DDP.

Hmmm, Doc's keys said "DVC Room Only", our didn't say DVC at all. We also are not on any DDP. This might be an interesting play for renters.

Diane, how do you like the wood floors? I personally am not overly impressed. The sleeper chair is OK, a more tropical pattern would be nice Not good for "sitting", but more comfortable than the sofa sleeper for sleeping.

We arrived on Dec. 2 and our cards say exactly the same as Doc's. There must have been a temporary issue on Dec. 1 that kept "DVC Room" off the cards. There have been lots of computer system issues in the few days we've been here. I tried on 3 days to get some old tickets checked before I finally hit a day when the computers were able to do it.

Well that must be confusing since normally that is what A02 means. Hopefully everyone has their blue member card with them! Enjoy!

Well, that's a good thing then. So non-members won't be able to get DVC discounts because their KTTW doesn't say DVC Member.

And you may have to show both the KTTW and the blue member card to get up to the TOTWL if you are staying at BLT.

Chuck, I have a whole thread about my impressions of the renovations. I like that the "wood" floors are quiet and also warm, but they look cheap and dirty all the time. I suspect they aren't mopped between guests, or that might not be the case. I wish they had kept the kitchen tile. At least that would have looked more high end. I wonder if they replaced the wood floors in the GVs with this vinyl stuff too? I always liked the look of the GV wood floors. I suppose I'll find out next month when we are in a GV.

We find the sleeper chair useless. We don't need it for a bed, and aren't impressed with it for sitting. Look for my thread for my other comments. I like the sofa and love seat upholstery and the repainted tables are fine EXCEPT for that ugly finish they put on the coffee table. Love the rug under it though. Shades look good, but are a PITA to operate. We have them just above the door latch so we can still operate the door without messing with the shades, and they are low enough to not be an issue for privacy at night.

I would have liked it if they had added some pull across drapes to the living room, like they have in the bedroom. While the wood blinds are fine for privacy, they are no good for insulation. When the weather turns cold, like now, the living room is about 10 degrees cooler than the master bedroom. So when a person sleeping in the living room is comfortable, the people in the bedroom are sweltering. If the people in the bedroom are comfortable, the living room people are cold.

Checked in 12/5. We have the dining plan. Mine just shows DDP A04C01 (4 adults, 1 child). The rest of my family's show DVC DDP A04C01.

I guess we'll know more on Monday when we check-in. I think the Axx and Cxx appears on all cards DDP or not. It indicates how many adults and children are in the room.

It also appears that "DVC" now replaces "DVC Member" on the card.

DVC - DVC Stay
DDP - Disney Dining Plan participant
Axx - # of adults in the room
Cxx - # of children in the room
