DVC member discounts when booking with cash?

Can anyone tell me what the discounts are for booking DVC resorts (Hilton Head) and WDW hotels if you are a DVC member? Many thanks

The DVC discount through MS is 25% off rack rate when paying cash, subject to availability.

Member's cash discount if it is available ( it isn't always ) will be 25% off rack rate and must be booked through MS for DVC resorts. Members can book on cash as well through MS even if 25% discount isn't available and this would be way to ensure that you do not have to switch to another villa if part of your reservation is booked on points & part on cash because MS will link both reservations together. Usually you can find a better cash rate for DVC resorts if there is a promo that Disney's Central Reservations may be offering or with AAA or if you have an Annual Pass ( and a discounted rate at a DVC resort that is bookable through Central can often still be less than 25% DVC member's discount ) Just note that regular Disney resort hotels are not bookable through MS on cash.

There are no DVC member discounts on non-DVC resorts.

If you can get a better discount through CRO, you can weigh the chance that you may have to change rooms. I've done it both ways and didn't have to change rooms either way but it's a possibility. If you book through MS, it will be a continuous stay, you will get KTTW for the entire time. If you book through CRO, you will have to go to the front desk and get new keys when you switch to the CRO reservation. Plus that will not be considered a member stay, so no free internet. But the plus side is you get full housekeeping for your CRO nights.
