DVC Member Discounts versus Annual Pass

I am planning a July 2014 Trip --- I know that we can save substantial money on an Annual Pass because we are DVC Members. When we purchase Annual Passes, which offers the best value on cash nights at BCV --- Purchase nights at the regular 25% discount or use our Annual passes and get the Annual pass discount? I am thinking the AP discount is a little better than the 25% DVC discount. What other perks are there, for AP holders? And, what other perks do DVC member's receive? Thanks!

All perks and discounts need to be looked at with real numbers. 25% off of what, a discount is just another way to sell you something and it isn't always the best price.

if you are dvc members you do not have to pay for your rooms, so there is not need for the discount. unless of course you are out of pts.

At WDW, the discount on dining and merchandise is the same for all the various Annual Passes. The 20% discount with the PAP ended 1/1/2013.

I don't understand this post - AP discounts on BC are usually 30% (sometimes 35%) you just have to wait until they 'activate' which is usually about 90 days out. As we are OFTEN OUT OF PTS this has become a 'go to' solution. Needless to say, hoping our WLs eventually come thru on BC & BW.

You are not always going to get a member discount.
