Wouldn't say there's an advantage. If you're referring to the DVC Member Cruise where they leave special gifts nightly in your stateroom, activities and experiences that you can only have during that cruise - that's something you have to evaluate since it does cost more than a similar non-DVC member cruise with the same itinerary.
I've experienced one so far and thoroughly enjoyed it enough that we're booked on the one May 2024.
We’ve also been to one a few years ago. There were so many gifts , we had to leave some. But for our May 2024 member cruise, we’re sure to be more prepared for space in our luggage. We’re really excited…but to be honest, we booked this cruise, not because its a Member cruise, but because we wanted a b2b with our transatlantic cruise and the fact that May is hopefully not too hot for Med cruise. if it wasn’t a member cruise, we would have booked it anyway. But don’t get me wrong, we are excited that it’s a member cruise…seems more special that way.
I have a quick question if anyone knows the answer.
We booked concierge on another DCL boat earlier in the year and our waitlist just came in for this member cruise. Can I transfer the deposit from that cruise to this one?
We just came back from our first and our answer is yes! DW said in the middle of the cruise that we should just do Member Cruises only from now on. We’ve done five “regular ones” up to this point. We met a member who has done 15 MCs and just 5 “regular ones”.
We are now on the waitlist for 2024 MC in Mediterranean but our middle daughter is graduating high school that same week.
I told her, no one remembers graduating high school in 4 years…you can have memories of a lifetime from a MC in the Mediterranean! The seed has been planted…muahaha.

I would guess no. The DVC member cruise is technical a charter. DVC charters the whole ship from DCL, so I understand that your contract is with DVC not DCL. But it never hurts to ask! They might be able to work with you!
