Does anyone else have the impossible task of not being able to plan their dining under a purchased dining plan online at the 179-180 day mark where neither going directly through DW site or the DVC member site. Mine will not recognize my reservation number can only make reservations on the phone. It will not recognize that I purchased the dining plan and the restaurants that need a deposit it definitely wont take going the route as if we had no reservations. Been on the phone 3 hours on hold now for the second day. Any advice?

I don't know what to tell you - I have been able to use my DVC reservation # to book at 180 days out. I have not had a dining plan so can't speak to that part.

There is no reason why the telephone agents couldn't see your DDP though - or at least the DVC agents (I have never used DVC member services to book dining).

Do you have a confirmation that shows the dining plan is on your reservation?

Yep, sorry to say, that the dining site has been like this since Oct. 26th. While we can make a dining reservation at the 180 days, we can't seem to participate in the +10 part like all other WDW guest with reservations. I've mentioned this many times to MS, but no one out there seems to care and it's over 2 months now and it's still not working. It was a bear making my April/May 2012 reservations back in late October. Sometimes daily, sometimes a few every few days. Yes, I could've called, but the dining reservations that MS makes don't show up online with the rest of my reservations and I like to be in control. I made my first week of ADR prior to Oct. 26th using the +10, but since our trip is 3 weeks, I still had more to make, and after the "upgrade" I've never been able to use the +10 feature again. It really stinks -- most folks who have posted about this issue have been told it's a "reservation number" issue and the system is not recognizing our numbers, or the pattern is different....whatever, I just want them to fix it. :confused3

I have found if you have the same user name and password on the dvc member site and the disney reservation site they come up everytime you sign in. Sign into DVC site than go to reservation site and when you arrive hit refresh and it should say Hello your name on upper left side if not there might be your problem.

I guess I was lucky because I must have made my Easter reservations in early October, before this happened and had no trouble using the +10.

after speaking on the phone with technical support it is a known ongoing issue because the reservation number is not a Disney reservation number but rather a DVC reservation number and the computer thinks it is a room only because package reservations through Disney have letter and numbers both and the ones issues by DVC are not with letters. So looks like it will be an ongoing issue for awhile if not forever. Glad I joined DVC :)

Yes there have been issues especially if days were added on by wiatlist or manually or if you have split stays.

nope no days were added on and yes... I do have the dining plan as someone pointed may be the problem. No real reason I think it is not fair but than again neither is life fair... Kinda stinks and yes it is their fault it does not work. I have one response for Disney fix it and quit making excuses. Than again if there were problems the IT department wouldn't have a job.. Right??

We've had the same issue and I don't care to call dining to make reservations but I want an email with the info when I make the reservation which is why online is vastly superior. When I asked for the email for dining I was told I'd get an email 24 hours prior to the ADR time. Um. No. Not helpful. I will be on vacation, not checking email! I too wish Disney IT would fix it one way or another--phone call reservation emails or make online dining work. :surfweb:

But that doesn't matter. You don't have to have a dining plan to make dining reservations.

Obviously they are having issues (though the first person that responded hasn't had a problem), but it's not because of the package vs dining...

I assume your first, and maybe second, days are now at 180 or inside of it; can you book any ADRs online for those days?

Yes true unless it is one that requires the meal plan to secure without a monetary deposit to reserve like Cinderella's table or a dinner show and the +10 advantage is not available to us also which may or may not matter

Are they not requiring a CC guarantee for DDP buyers? I haven't followed the issue but I assumed they were as it was the incentive to show up that they were targeting? Allowing DDP members to reserve without a CC guarantee doesn't solve the issue I understood was behind this, people making reservations and not using them. The systems recognizes my DDP purchased with an RCI exchange in and still asks for a CC guarantee.

yes they do require a CC guarantee but for dinner shows and Cinderella's castle if you are not a DDP buyer you must prepay in full
