DVC Member and Park tickets

Just became a member this year. Used up my developer points. My son has graduated from the Disney University so the free or cast discounted tickets are no more.

For DVC members what are some good ideas for cost savings when considering ticket purchases. I know DVC members get $100 off annual passes. I have looked at buying a 10 day pass no exp. but was looking for other ideas! We will normally stay 1 to 2 weeks / year. May skip someties skip a year bank the points and stay longer the following year, etc.

AP or UT 10 day pass depending on how often you plan to visit the parks.

we use AP. While we usually make a couple of trips to WDW a year, we purposely plan the big family trip a week early/late every other year so we can use the AP for two big trips. For instance - year 1 we would vacation June 14-20 with the AP starting/ending on June 14. Next year we would vacation June 7-13 using last years AP.
