Do DVC memebrs get any type of ADR booking advantage? Or is it strictly 60 days out before you can book? I called DVC membership and the woman I spoke to honestly had never even heard of Goofy's Kitchen and I had to inform her it was at the DL resort. She then just gave me their dining phone number and when I called they said I'm trying to book for July "way too early."

Dining reservations at Disneyland are definitely not something that are planned 180 days in advance like WDW, likely due to the fact that the majority of people visitong the parks are locals and they aren't going to plan dinner 6 months in advance, let alone 2 or 3 weeks in advance.

There really isn't a need to book so far ahead at Disneyland, which I really like.

I am both a DVC member and a DL regular. I don't know the technical answer to your question and that is because you will EASILY be able to book whatever you want at 60 days out and probably up to a week or two in advance. ADR's are called Priority seating at DL and are not very common and not typically super necessary but for at very popular restaurants at popular times on holidays, etc. The only thing I've ever heard of filling up quickly and early is the Fantasmic Dessert/Priority seating experience. I'd book that at around 60 days if you want to do that - just in case. It's something like $55 per person. Oh, and Club 33 tends to book up, too but that isn't booked through Disney dining but through a club member instead.

The Fantasmic Dessert seating is booked 30 days in advance, not 60.

Oops! Thanks for the clarification. It's been several years since we've done it. Maybe that's where I got the impression that one should book as soon as it is available - since it is only 30 days out.

I am actually trying to book lunch on July 4th, so I guess 60 days out it is. I take it they do not allow any earlier for resort guests then...

I see you're booking Fantasmic. Don't forget to consider World of Color. I think it's a wonderful show. Their fastpasses come with either the picnic meal or meal at Ariel's Grotto. Food in both options are very good.

We can personally vouch for AG World of Color package. Fantastic food from start to finish and they even asked if we wanted seconds of the mutli-tiered appetizer tray ... we took them up on the offer naturally! We'd do it all again in a heartbeat.
