DVC magic band sliders?

Oh drat, I didn't know they had them and I was just there! Hopefully I can get one in October.

YMMV, but I was told by a cast member (when politely asking if I can get additional) that they are limit 2 per member family. They ask for your phone number and document in the system if youve already been issued your 2 sliders.

Anyone know if they’re available on Disney cruises? We don’t expect to visit WDW or DLR until 2025 but are booked on the Magic for January.

We got a couple of the blue sliders on the Wish June 16-19. They also had them at POR front desk on the 20th.

That was the protocol they followed at the Epcot lounge, as well, so I believe it’s probably policy. Whether you can find a CM who is willing and able to make an exception, I couldn’t say.

Weird. I've never had them document anything when asking for them in Cali or WDW. I didn't even ask for them at WDW and I was just given two as part of my thanks for visiting bundle when visiting SSR. I think they are a bit more relaxed at the DVC office at the Grand Cal as long as you ask nicely.

In my defense, there weren't any out here at DLR for the longest time. I mentioned to my guide that we never see magnets or pins out here, and that was it. A couple of weeks later, I was at Storytellers for lunch and asked at the VGC sales office, and they gave me two. Maybe another week after that, and I got the other 2 sent to me out of the blue by my guide (along with two of the gold magnets). Consistent with what others have said, both times it was two sliders only.

Unless, or course, the "shhhh" was actually just about getting the sliders and nothing else, not the number of them. The number of sliders in the photo actually never crossed my mind. Had I realized THAT would trigger anyone, I probably wouldn't have just reached into the cup on my desk, grabbed what was in there, and taken the photo.

Considering these boards (and more commonly) Facebook groups are littered with people actually boasting about getting numerous bands at one resort, or those who mention going to two or three resorts or asking multiple CM’s in the same day, with the sole and deliberate purpose of getting more sliders than the four I ended up with because they were “upset that the CM wouldn't give them enough for their whole family", the fact that I happened to get two sets of $.25 rubber bands, two of them by accident, a week apart (again two that I never even asked for or knew about when I did ask for the first two I got in person) didn't really strike me as too controversial or scandalous. And the wink emoji almost makes it feel like the post was made tongue-in-cheek anyway.

It's interesting though, what different people focus on, and how they interpret it, in a forum post.
