DVC Lounges - some questions

We've never been in either lounge - I always forget when we are there. DH and I will be there with 9 other family members in Dec. I'm hoping we remember to fit these into our day(s). Two of my kids are staying in our same OKW villa and the others are in another. I'm thinking my kids and grandkids will enjoy seeing these "private" places.
Can you tell me where exactly we find the entrance of these? Is it similar to the AP lounge? - DH and I went to the one in the back of Morocco and enjoyed relaxing and getting out of the June heat.

The Imaginarium entrance in Journey to Imagination in Epcot is just to the left of the main ride entrance - you're walking in where the ride lets out in the store. As soon as you enter and pass through the store, the kiosk is in the right to give your name and check in.

For McKim's Mile House in Magic Kingdom, it's right where the shooting gallery used to be, next to the DVC kiosk and the tunnel restrooms. The porch has a kiosk on the left side to check in.

Both lounges have better perks than the Morocco AP lounge - with generally a better snack selection and the Coke Freestyle machines (the old Visa lounge that was in the upstairs of the American Adventure Pavilion used to have the Freestyle machines too).

Thanks so much!

Is the DS lounge worth a visit?
I think there's less "coolness" factor than the in-park lounges. Functionally, if you're visiting MK, Epcot or Disneyland, you'll be in the area of the lounge at some point. Why not stop by for a free drink, snack and air conditioning?

The Disney Springs location has the same drinks, snacks and AC. It also has model rooms for Riviera that you can freely walk through if you wish. But I don't think it's worth going out of your way. Maybe once to satisfy your curiosity. On repeat visits to DS, I wouldn't walk from Cirque or the Christmas shop just for a free bag of Cheeze-Its.

It's also VERY small and there may be a wait to get in. Especially with a large group. Logistically that complicates things further. If you do go out of your way to visit, you may end up having to kill 30 minutes in that part of DS waiting to be called.

I'm not sure how many of your group you could get into the lounge.

The member website says this:
  • A Member can bring in up to 4 Guests per Membership Card, or the number of Guests on their Resort reservation, booked within their Membership.
  • Guests and Associates must be accompanied by a Member with a valid Membership Card and photo ID.

So if some of your group is in another villa, they aren't on your reservation. I'm not sure how many are on your reservation.

That's how I think of the DS spot - if you're there, why not...but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. I'll be up there in early December and on my arrival day on a Friday, I will not be doing any parks - I have a dinner reservation at 6:30pm, but since I'll probably be checked in at Saratoga Springs between 3-4pm, I'll have time to kill - so I plan on wandering around Disney Springs and will probably pop up to the DVC lounge to chill and get a drink or two while I wait for the dinner res. I especially like that there's a small balcony with tables overlooking Disney Springs...it's a cool spot to people-watch and chill if it's not too hot out.
