DVC-Jambo House

We have a savanna view studio at Jambo House in June. I've read reports the walk can be extremely bad at AKL, but I've also heard the DVC reservations are only for 5th and 6th floors and are closer to the main lobby. Any truth to these reports?

DVC rooms are entire 5th floor including as far away from lobby that you can possibly be. DVC concierge rooms are 6th fl all over the lobby. Walk can be fairly long at Jambo; however, as far as "extremely" long what you have read is about Kidani not Jambo

You can call Member Services and ask to be closer to the lobby, and/or close to an elevator, which can shorten the walk, if you get your request (it worked for me last June, and I still had a good animal view, esp. in mid-morning when they stocked the feeding stations in close to the central area).
