Internet is free for DVC members staying at DVC Resorts on points. However, the connection is wired, so you have to bring your own router if you need wireless in your room.

It's free only if you're staying at a DVC resort on points. It's not free at any other type of resort.

I left a network cable in my owners locker so i don't even have to use the one provided.

No they don't. At least that's what the CM told me. I accidently took the cord, but fortunately I was still on WDW property when I discovered my error. When I called the front desk, I said I wanted to return it and PLEASE don't charge me that $10 fee. "Oh, we don't actually charge anyone. We just say we will", he told me. But I still dropped it off at the nearest resort (per instructions from the CM) and they returned it.
