DVC insulated coffee travel mug??

I purchased a blue insulated travel mug w/ the DVC logo on it last year at WL. It is the tall blue one with the removable cover. I haven't been impressed with it. Shortly after getting it the rubber bottom fell off. So I have been using the cup w/o the rubber bottom. I always had wash it- never in the dishwasher (per the instructions). Now I have water stuck in the tumbler. It is between the plastic and stainless steel (or whatever the material is). I can't get it out.

As anyone else's cup got water stuck inside it??

I am sad that it hasn't lasted a year. Would you bring it back and speak with someone at one of the gift shops?? We will be there in a few weeks at OKW.
Or is it not worth it?? The mug is used every cup weeks. It isn't used daily.

any input?
 
I'd take it back.

I have 2 of them that I bought a few years ago. One at SSR and one at AKV, I think. I use mine about like you use yours. Never had a moment's problem with them.
 
I bought a DCL one that lasted a month. I am pretty selective nowadays having been burned a number of times with Disney's expensive cheap crap.
 
I would take it back.

I had the mug you refer to. DH broke it last winter when he tossed it in his car. :headache:

We just returned from a WDW trip. I was hoping to replace it and checked the gift shops at: OKW, BCV, BLT, and AKV (both gift shops),....nothing!
 

thanks for your input. I think I will pack it in w/ our stuff. Hopefully I can find on and they let me replace it.
 
It has been such a disappointment in the past few years watching the quality of the disney Logo items go down hill. I can understand why the need to keep prices low for those visiting Disney on a tight budget and the need to go home with "a prize", but they should keep in mind that there are still a few that could afford a higher level of quality andthe pricing it brings, especially with the clothing.

The prices for clothing have far outrun the quality of the items. How disappointing.
 
I bought one of these on our last trip. The first time I washed it I ended up with water like the OP described. I took it back that day. My 2nd one has been better.

I bought one of these in Jan. 2015 at HH. The lid does not seal and it leaks all over the place. I'm hoping I can return it for store credit or something. I was very disappointed.
 
We have not bought the mug, but have bought other things. They have always been great with us if there was ever any issues, No questions asked. The just replaced it as long as there is something in stock comparable.. Good luck and go in with a smile.:bitelip:
 
Wow! I'm so glad I didn't read these reviews before I bought one as a gift for DH a couple years ago. He's used it practically every day and never had a problem. I just asked him and he says he loves it!
 
Not sure if it's the same one or not but I have a stainless one that I have had for 3 or 4 years and I use it EVERY day. Knock wood it has been THE best cup...I love it...it keeps stuff warm for like an hour! I wash the cup by hand and run the lid thru the dishwasher whenever I think about it. :) I think I would cry if something happened to it!

I would at least TRY to return the defective one.
