Ok sorry if this post does not make sense.

I have seen posts referring to II and exchanges with DVC. What exactly is this. We are purchasing DVC tomorrow and want to make sure I understand everything 1st.

THanks

One of the options to use DVC points is the World Passport Collection. This gives DVC members the ability to exchange to a good number of resorts worldwide and the program uses Interval International (II) as the exchange company. DVC holds a corporate account and DVC members need to go thru MS to search for these exchanges. DVC has reported that we may have access to some sort of online capability in the near future, but there is no information yet available about that. The World Passport Collection also includes options from Club Intrawest, Club Cordial and Buena Vista Trading Company in addition to II.

In the past, we have only been able to exchange for full weeks, but DVC announced at the Annual Meeting that members will soon be able to reserve 3 and 4 night stays thru II - the online option may be involved with that upgrade to the program.

Other non-DVC reservation options are the Disney Collection (allows DVC members to make reservations and Delux and Moderate WDW resorts, Disney Cruise Line and other Disney resorts), Concierge Collection (allows DVC members to make reservations at a number of non-Disney resorts around the world), and the Adventurer Collection (allows DVC members to reserve a variety of Worldwide tours, including the new Adventures by Disney tours).

Except for stays at Disneyland, CA hotels, there is a $95 charge for each non-DVC reservation made with these programs.

Enjoy! :)
