We just retunred from the DIS Podcast Cruise 2.0 (will post a trip report on Mouse later). We attended the DVC Member presentation on Tuesday which was a fun event (the room was SRO). Lots of prizes and giveaways for members.

FWIW, here are the Member Onboard Holiday Only Incentives (currently available on Disney cruises). These were for current members.

BLT - $130 per point - 100 point purchase - $13 credit = $117 per point.
160 point purchase - $13 credit = $117 per point.
250 point purchase - $18 credit = $112 per point.

AKL - $120 per point - 100 (and up) point purchase - $20 credit = $100 per point.
Onboard purchase also receives FastPass bonus (15 FP).

AHV- $120 per point - 100 - 249 point purchase - $14 credit = $106 per point.
250 (and up) point purchase - $20 credit = $100 per point.
160 point minimum purchase qualifies for Founding Member program.

Thanks, Doc.

For BLT, that pricing is the same as the general public rates now. AKV and Aulani appear to be discounted by another $2 per point on the cruise.

Interesting that Aulani still has founding member slots available. We were on a cruise about 5 weeks ago and they said there were maybe 150 FM openings left at that time.

Were their lips moving at the time? You know the saying about timeshare salesmen...

Hmmm - they assured everyone that the BLT prices had just been lowered to this special rate for the cruise only (stated the prices were higher on last week's cruise).

For the record, their lips were moving during the entire presentation! ;)

I do. But given that the statements made in November were basically an acknowledgment that DVC had only sold about 600 160-point Aulani add ons in 4+ months, it didn't even seem worthy of questioning.

Last week on the Magic I sat in on a non member presentation and they were selling BLT for $117.

Some day, one of these folks is going to learn ventriloquism...and then where will we be?

I believe the pricing did just go down (discounts got a little better), but I don't think that is exclusive to the cruises. I've been told the same $117 & $112 prices are available to all.

FWIW, when we cruised in November there were no extra discounts on Bay Lake Tower either. Only other resort mentioned was Aulani and the additional perk there was a $500 stateroom credit for 160+. Not a bad deal for anyone interested.

We just went to a members BLT tour on Friday. They offered us $117 also for 100 points. I now realize I don't have to rush to buy before we leave. Funny how they make you think the pricing is special just because you are there "today"

That is the rule with vacation club presentations. They want you to buy right away! I am a member of another vacation club and I experienced the same thing. I probably would have bought eventually but if you are considering DVC, I would give it some time. I personally don't like being pressured, even on a cruise.
