Hi hoping someone can help.....My wife and I are interested in learning more about buying DVC. We are staying POFQ jan 20-25.06 I would like to vist a DVC property. We are from Canada and our offical request to DVC was turned away becuse of out of country

any help would be welcome

Disney would love to sell you DVC, but they are not licensed to sell in Canada (or possibly just in your province), and therefore could not legally respond to your request. So if you are going to buy direct from Disney, you will have to do it on-site at either WDW or Disneyland in California.

In the PORFQ lobby, right by the registration desk, you will find a DVC booth. They will be happy to arrange a tour of SSR with a guide. They will schedule your visit and arrange for transportation both ways.

Before you go, I would do a ton of research here and really have a solid idea of what DVC is and what you want to do. Then allow a half-day for the tour and talking to the guide. It won't take that long, but leave yourself plenty of time. It's an important decision, so don't put artificial pressure on yourself by being in a rush.

You should also be aware that you CAN purchase DVC via resale from a realtor who specializes in DVC timeshares. So if you are not ready to make a decision at WDW, you can always buy resale.

You can schedule a time to tour Saratoga Springs with the DVC Rep at POR (there a DVC desk at every resort (or so it seems like). They will even drive you over so you don't have to worry about transportation.
