DVC Golf and HH?

If we buy a golf DVC discount card at WDW, is it also good at any of the HH golf courses? I realize it is only valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Is there a better golf deal available?

The card is not good at any of the HH courses. However, HH DVC has negotiated rates with various courses on the island. You need to call HH directly and find out what the courses are and the rates. Then HH will call for you to book the tee time.

Is there anyplace that tells members that information, that HHI has negotiated special DVC rates for members staying there? When we went last March, DH didn't know that, and he made all his tee-times himself before we arrived. Never got any discounts.

They usually tell you that when you check in, and I think it's also mentioned in the newsletter (can't remember what they call it at the moment!) that you get when you check in.

The info used to be in the member guide but no longer. I would imagine you could call ahead and have them fax it.

I don't think that you get a "special deal" from DVC for any of the courses there, they are just some "suggestions" that DVC put forward. IMHO there are better deals available from a number of other options. A general search on the internet will get you plenty of offers for Hilton Head golf to look through and picking up a free copy of any of the golf "handouts" available at any golf store in HH will also yield a more diverse and probably better discount than those available from DVC, JMHO.
