I just received a email, stating that if I participated in a interactive presentation for the DVC I would receive a $25 gift card for Disney. Is it worth my time? We are going out their in October.

I did it. Its for anyone who is a non-DVC owner who has a scheduled and booked WDW vacation. Its very low pressure, in fact they dont even ask you to buy, and its less than 10 minutes. My card arrived about a week later. Great for snacks and stuff on our upcoming trip.
I just called & it was about 5 minutes worth of sales pitch. They sent me a packet to look at online with them & we went over the properties, price & financing available. It wasn't high pressure at all. Not bad for $25.

Nice. I thought you meant they were going to make you listen to the sales pitch while you were THERE. Then I would definately say no thanks. But over the phone, not too shabby. I would have done it.
We did a few months back, since we'd already toured he gave the new deals, emailed the brochure and we were done in 3 minutes. Gift card showed up a couple weeks later.
LoL Yep, they got me on this same email. But I am a happy new DVC Owner whose been wanting in since 07. We get our card when we get down there and meet with our guide who also promised me FP's as well.
I just did this too and couldn't believe how short a "pitch" they gave on the phone. We'll use it toward our one OOP adr during October's free dining.
They sent me an email and then a package from fed ex with paper brochures about DVC but there was no Gift Card in the box. Does that come later???
I must say, what the sales guy said really got to me. I wasn't ware I could buy in at just 60 pts and that they had BCV availability. It has me thinking!
