DVC for the Single Guy?

another single female here who owns DVC. I haven't gone "home" yet--having just bought a few months ago--taking my first trip in November and taking my Mom as a treat. I did spend a few nights for my birthday earlier this month at the Grand Californian at DL on points (incentive points). I have taken a couple of trips to DL as a solo and loved it and think I would love WDW solo too--especially there since there is so much to explore.

One of the reasons I bought DVC is that I feel safe being alone on Disney property. Plus it gives me a reason to force myself to go on vacation!

I am 37, female and single....Bought in with 160 points last August and have my first trip home this August. I have 3 older brothers so I might as well have been an only child having been the only girl!
This first trip home I am taking my niece and two of my nephews with a stay at AKV in a 2 bedroom. I can see myself taking solo trips at some point too. I had made a similar post last year about being single and owing DVC and was it a good idea? Well, it works for me, I am already suffering from addonitis thinking about where I want to add on!

Another single female about the same age as OP. I bought 150 in 2004 and would love to add some more. I have been on one solo trip and others with family or friends and really enjoy it no matter who is or isn't there. I say if you enjoy WDW and have the extra bucks go for what you can afford, I wish I had bought more points initially.

I"m thinking there should be a new DIS board for DVC singles to chat and maybe plan to meet while at WDW... I think I would have liked that back in my single days.

As Spiceycat mentioned, there is, sort of. Go to the 'Disney for Solo and Single Travelers' thread and you will find a lot of single DVC'ers there. I am one, and I know about 10 more at least.
