DVC for a single person or couple?

I'm single and bought at BLT in September 2009. Haven't been "home" yet, but will be going this fall and letting my brother (also single) tag along with me. We're going during the F&W Festival, so we've booked a split stay: 6 nights at a BLT studio with MK view, then 8 nights at BWV 1 BR.

Plans for 2011 points are to take a girlfriend with me. We vacation together every other year, and 2011 is "our year", so we'll do WDW that year.

Plans for 2012 points are also slotted for a vacation with friends.

I went in September 2009 with my sister. She could only stay 9 nights, but I stayed for a total of 14 nights and had an awesome time on my own, even after she left. That's what convinced me to buy in. I've always left WDW wanting despirately to come back. Buying in allows me to do that now!

The vacations where I invite friends will be split. That is, I'll invite them for some of the time, then I'll stay solo after they leave and just enjoy what I want to do. This year, however, my brother will be with me for my entire stay because he's disabled and won't be doing parks every day with me anyhow, so I'll get my solo time in and between him.

If you find yourself vacationing there and always seem to want to go back, then DVC is just as good for singles as it is for families. BTW - I bought 300 points and don't feel like I bought too many. Yet.

We bought into KV last year after taking our 2 nephews to Disney for 8 nights. The 8 nights at Pop with DDP was about $3300. Not including thier tickets. Since then we have stayed 5 nights at KV have hilton Head booked for 5 nights and KV for 4 nights. I hope to add on on our Disney cruise.
