DVC Florida Resident Discount

WDW DVC members get a Florida resident discount on yearly passes. The justification being they own property in Florida. With that, has anyone tried to use that justifcation for a Florida resident discount on a Disney Cruise?

There are occasional Fl resident discounts on cruises, just not on every one. That would be nice!

Nope, because it won't work. Florida residents have to have Florida ID and DVC does not qualify.

DVC members do not get Florida resident discounts on yearly passes.

If you read the Public Offering Statement for any DVC complex, you will read that DVC members are not entitled to Florida resident discounts.

DVC members get a discount similar to those that FL residents get but do not get a FL resident discount. They are not elligible for FL resident discounts or options because DVC chooses not to allow them. As noted, the POS specifically states DVC owners does not qualify. It's not really a residency issue but one of the choice Disney has made.
