i just booked this for myself and two daughters in March and we are very excited. What kind of drinks and snacks are available? I saw there is champagne but one of my daughters is 13 and the other doesn’t drink. Are there other things available? Also, I read that most tip. In CAD the cost is already quite high. How much tip would be expected?

Has no one done this? Can you see things well and is it worth the money if
you don’t drink? It is well over $300.00 CAD but thought it looked like something unique and memorable.

I've never done it, but on their webpage is says:

For more information on the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise or other special marina experiences, please call Member Services at (800) 800–9800

You could give that a shot

We have done the MK and Epcot fireworks cruise many times over the years and we love it. The onboard snacks are chips and crackers with water and sodas available. We have always had catering bring wine and cheese plates for us to snack on and loved it. The only caveat I always give if the weather is cool then it could be cold out on the water so dress warmly. We also had a boat captain that as soon as the Epcot fireworks was over backed us out quickly and took us to Hollywood Studios to watch the fireworks/show as well.

As far as tipping goes we tipped $40 for our cruises with the exception of the one that took us over to HS. I just handed her all the cash in my pocket so she did really well that night. Of course it helped that we went with another couple that night and had a couple bottles of wine between us over a short sailing so I might have been a little more generous then I normally would have been.

We've done the fireworks cruise once and I think the cost was in the $200-$250 range. I believe we tipped $40 so essentially figured in the 20% range as the driver was very pleasant and helpful.

The snacks and drinks are just typical junk. Nothing special per se - just something to have as you're boating around and watching the fireworks. It was cold the night we did it - figured we had frozen my mom into a popsicle.

Did you end up doing this? I'm thinking about booking it and would love some insight!

It was great. We really enjoyed our view of the fireworks and had a lot of fun. I think there were chips and pop etc but kind of forget as it was nearly two years ago now.

Thank you! Do you think it is kid friendly? (If you remember, that is!)

Yes. We had padded seats and it was like sitting on a couch. I think there may have been blankets as well. We were taken around the other light show as well. Well worth the money we paid.

We did the private Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise last May in conjunction with our big family disney trip. We took our adult children, spouses and 3 grandkids ages 6, 4, 2. Everyone of us LOVED it! Our kids said it was the highlight of the trip. In addition to soda, water, bagged chips and cookies we had a platter of macaroons with writing on the plate in chocolate saying: Welcome G***** Family. We did not pay extra for this. We had just finished dinner at Chef Mickey’s so the snacks went uneaten. The captain encouraged us to take the snacks with us but we were on the DxDP and we knew they would go to waste so we declined.

My husband tipped the captain generously because he went out of his way to make it memorable for each of us. I think we enjoyed it so much because it was very private, no hordes of people jostling for a good position to watch the fireworks. Worth every penny!

We have done many fireworks cruises, but not through DVC. Our tips are in 18-20% range. Sometimes DH booked the cruise and I came to the Disboards Community board to offer others room on the boat, I gave them the price of the boat and the tip price, and they paid me the night of the cruise.

It is less expensive if you book the cruise yourself, then try to fill the boat yourselves, but it does involve work and trust.
