DVC Experts on BWV Availibilty

We are looking at March Use Year and December 2007 rental of a GrandVilla. We need to wait until March, 2007 to get our 2008 points, too. Does anyone think we could get a GrandVilla mid-December at 9 months window instead of 11?

Your points for all your use years are already in your account for use based on the date of stay, there is no waiting. So you can call in January 2007 for a December 2007 home resort stay, plus you can borrow 2008.

I have a December use year and I already used my December 2006 points to book my December 2006 stay at the BWV this month.

I have a Dec. use year. I made a reservation for Sept. 2006 using my Dec. 2006 points back in November, 2005.

In January 2005 I made a reservation for December 2005 and borrowed points from my April 2006 use year. It's all based on the date of stay. My stay was in my 2005 use year, so I could borrow 2006.

Debbie B is correct. You do not have to wait until March 2007 to borrow 2008 points. You can borrow 2008 points to make any reservation that falls within your 2007 use year. As you know, you can call for a reservation as early as 11 month prior to your desired check out date.

A stay in December of 2007 falls within your 2007 use year. You can use points that were banked into 2007 from 2006, the points from 2007 itself and you can borrow points from 2008 for that stay.

You use the points in the use year that your vacation falls. We have a Sept use year.

If we make an October vacation in 2006, we would use 2006 points, plus any 2005 banked or 2007 borrowed. We can make this reservation in Nov 2005

If we make an August vacation in 2006, we use 2005 points, plus 2004 banked and 2006 borrowed. We can make this reservation in Sept 2005.

To put it simply: Use year has absolutely no effect on when you can make a reservation. Call on Monday.
