Thank you. I went and followed your steps. I agree with @Lorana - this must be a targeted offer, because I don't see this anywhere in my account.

Jeez, that is a bummer! I didn't even know it was there (I swear they hide those offers) until I read about it on the CC thread here on disboards and clicked on the "suitcase" and there it was. Chase does have lots of offers here and there and sometimes it takes a couple cups of strong coffee to sort them all out! I would keep checking as I have no idea how long it was there anyway.

It is work to claw back anything these days, but I try to be on it as I see it as cumulative, not just $10 or $50, and this week I got about $650 total from four different cards and three months of making sure DH used the "right" card for this or that LOL! It goes in the "fun money aka Disney money" account. You know the drill LOL!

I suspect they know who had already booked upcoming trips to Disney and did not give the offer to those people. I might have maxed out the benefit with a well-timed WDW trip! Chase probably was giving it to people that didn't already have a trip booked in the hope that they would! :rotfl:

Yeah we found it by accident here on the forums. We didn't see it on the Website in the offers section, but my DW found the offer in her Trashed Items in her email. At the time it was sent out we were heading to Yacht Club for a few days. Would have been good to know then. Luckily in the time since that trip, we're in a contract to buy DVC. Going to make those Disney Dollars one way or another!

I looked in my email also and didn't see anything.

Same! I also didn’t even look for it in my online offers until I saw it on the CC thread here. I’m sad I missed the initial offer for May that would have covered our trip. Oh well! This one helped cover our OKW add on so it’s all good.

Nah, I got the offer on 4 Chase cards: Amazon, Disney, Marriott and United Visa. They sent me separate emails for all 4 cards back on May 13th.

Thanks for the date. I looked again; I still believe this is a targeted offer, although I don't know what group they were targeting. Maybe people they want to use their cards more than they were at the time. :confused3

For sure it is targeted. How it is targeted is the big mystery. Kind of like American Express and which offers you can add to your cards.

I have a trip booked in August and got the offer. It is only on the first $1500 though. But I also am splitting my stay with universal and used by disney visa for the hotel deposit, so maybe they were hoping to lure me back from the dark side, lol!

Not sure if they still allow it but when I bought in I was able to split the full payment accross 2 cards. I had just opened a SW personal and biz card in anticipation of this purchase. It was enough spend and bonus points from the signup bonus to net me 120,000 SW points and the Companion Pass.

There are a ton of great sign up bonuses floating around right now. If your Fico score can handle it the purchasing of DVC direct can net some travel rebates if you play your cards right.

Oh my gosh. Thank you all so much for this. We added on @ DVC last month and my DD and her friend bought tix for a weekend trip on my card (will be paid back!) and we are going for a weekend in August and will upgrade our tix for January trip...

I figure we are looking at $300+ in bonus points because of this offer! I would have never noticed it on my own.

Yeah that's awesome!! Gotta love "free" Disney Money

To be fair, I *did* get the 5% on the premier Disney Visa for up to $1500 at Grocery Stores earlier, so maybe that's why I didn't get the travel bonus. The cashier at the store was like "well, that's probably the largest transaction for the smallest amount of items I'll ever see" when I rang up 3 $500 Disney Gift Cards. :)

Ha ha ha!! I think I told you this a while back on another thread, but I have sticky notes on all of the credit cards to make sure DH uses the "right" credit card to maximize our earnings. The one compromise I've agreed to is that I don't make him carry more than 3-4 credit cards at any one time in his wallet. :)

I hide cards in a drawer as I guarantee 100% of the time he uses the WRONG card! I have DH down to two cards in his wallet now.

I have to thank you for the sticky note idea as I was having trouble keeping up and starting using them myself (I admit it LOL!) :teacher:

Whatever leftover Disney GC's I have will go to 2022 MF's anyway, so no harm in having extras!

Ha ha ha, you’re welcome! It’s worked mostly well, though he usually has a day or two at the beginning of a quarter where he uses the Chase Freedom for the wrong thing as he’s gotten in the habit for the past 3 months — unless the Freedom is Dining or Restaurants and I’ve removed the other card he was using for those! :-)
