DVC Disney Visa Card?

I was just reading through my packet of info that I got when we bought SSR and it mentions that DVC members can get a Disney Visa that has 'Disney Vacation Club Members' embossed on the front of the card.

It says to check your check-in folder or see someone at the sign up location as Downtown Disney. Is there a way to get this special DVC credit card without doing those two things? Like if I called MS could I ask for the special DVC card? I know that it is stupid but I really want to DVC one.

A couple of months after we bought DVC last year, I applied for the Disney Visa on the DVC member site. The offer at that time was for 50 points with the first use of the card.

Had the card for a couple of months and had used it many times before I noticed that under my name on the front of the card it says "Disney Vacation Club".

Don't know if it had that on the card because I used the link on the member site, but I really can't figure out any other way they would have known.

Well I checked one time and it did not say anything other than 0% financing on add-on's. But then I opened it later and it said $50. So if you don't see the $50, keep opening and closing it. Eventually it will say what you want it to.

Sorry - I meant 50 reward dollars (as opposed to the $50 gift card they were doing for a while). Didn't even realize till you pointed it out that I made it sound like we got 50 DVC points! OMG what a deal that would be!!!

I've had the card since it came out a couple of years ago and I haven't seen any special benefits for DVC members.

We have 2 Disney Visa accounts. We were one of the charter members when the original Disney visa came out, then sometime later, the specially marked Disney Vacation Club member card came out. So my husband applied for that one.

Now, we use one for month to month use to rack up the reward dollars. The other one we just use for Disney travel expenses. We did get a 50 reward dollar credit when we signed up for the DVC card. (We got an ugly Mickey Mouse watch for signing up for the first one!)

Just love the Disney rewards! Plus the Disney meet 'n greet photo is great!
