DVC discounts...

As DVC owners what type of discounts are available for 1) Food options and 2) Park passes. We are a family of five and typically visit only once a year? We are looking forward to our first vacation as DVC owners next year!

DVC members get a good discount on Annual Passes, but not on any of the MYW passes. At arrival you will get a copy of "Portable Perks" which outlines all of the DVC discounts available during your stay. The discounts do change, but they typically offer discounts at selected restaurants in the 10% - 30% range. There are also discounts available at a few stores and also on some of the WDW tours and recreational activities. You can also view the current list on the Member's site.

Keep in mind that even if you only visit once a year - the $100 discount off the annual pass is still worth your while. Just make sure you return the week before it expires in that year and you'll get two trips out it. So far I've used mine 4 times this year and going once more as when cheap airfare pops up or a special occassion, I can rationalize going down since I don't have to pay for park tickets. Once you purchase the annual pass, as I'm sure I've convinced you, that opens you up to alot more opportunites for discounts. Good Luck.

Unfortunately, No. You would use TIW and get the 20% discount.

No, you cannot combine discounts. If a restaurant offers more than one discount that you are eligible for you will need choose which discount to use.

Even if you only go once a year, plan your trips so they fall into one 365 day period. For example, last year we went mid-June. This year we go late May, early June. So we got two trips out of one AP. And it really helps if you go down and don't have to buy any tickets for that trip because you already have them.
