DVC Discount on rooms

IF i remember correctly, you used to be able to get a discount thru DVC when booking Villas for cash. If I am not misremembering, does anyone know if that is still the case?

There is a member cash discount of 25%, but that discount is not always available even if a cash room through DVC is available.

I know this thread is a few months old, but does anyone know if the DVC member has to stay in the room that is booked with the discount?

I have been able to book for my son in the past. The waitlist came through so we didn’t need it. Not sure if this is still the rule.
