Is there such thing? I know that we got it below $100 before but I no longer remember if that was a promo going on or because of DVC

You get a discount for pre-purchasing the CD up to14 days before your actual trip. No DVC specific discount.

Before the Photopass price increase, anyone could preorder for $99.95. There are now two types of Photopass, the regular and the plus. The regular Photopass just has to be preordered before the first photo is taken, but the plus must be ordered 14 days prior to arrival (though most received the voucher in around 8-10 days). Both preorders can be found here...

Will the Photopass+ be in a CD too? We only have done Photopass CD and then bought Chef Mickey pics. Also, which rides besides the mountains will have pics? My son is only 2 when we went and I don't think there were any rides for his age that has pics at the end.

PhotoPass+ is on CD, with PhotoPass+ you also get pictures from attractions and dining.

The difference between PhotoPass+ and PhotoCD
Both options offer your Disney vacation memories for one low price. But when you choose PhotoPass+ you receive unlimited photo opportunities at additional attractions and dining destinations. It’s the best way to ensure photos that you’ll have for a lifetime.

With the Photopass+ preorder, you will receive a stock photo Gallery CD and a voucher. You will take the voucher with you on your trip and exchange it for your Photopass+ card and lanyard. There are pickup locations within each park (and other locations listed on the page I am linking you to below). You will need to show the plus card to all photographers, including those at meals. For meals, you will get the printed photo package in addition to the digital photos. At rides, you just tell them which photo(s) are of your party at the ride photo desk, and they will scan them onto your card. When you get home, you will edit all of the pics (including ride and meal photos) just as you would for the normal Photopass, and finish the ordering process as instructed in your preorder information. Shipping will be free for your Photopass CD.

Here is a great FAQ on Photopass+...

If you have any other questions, I am happy to help. :goodvibes

Going to ask an additional question.......how does the photo session tie in or do they keep those completely separated?

One thing I was disappointed in with the photopass+ is that only one person is given the card. When we travel with family we often go our own way, but this means that when my guests have photos taken on rides the rides cannot be added to the Photopass+ CD as only I have the card. Our last trip in June using the regular photopass CD we had 6 different photopass cards added to the CDs. There were enough photos that it took two CDs for our group of 20.

I also noticed that the lines were lengthy for people waiting to get their ride photos added to their photopass+.

You can add as many regular Photopass cards to your account as necessary in addition to your plus card, so for meet and greets, the others can just get regular cards. When the party splits up and does rides, you just have them write down their photo number from the ride and then return to the ride desk with the plus card within 48 hours to add the photo.

I recommend taking a picture of every card you get with your camera or phone so you can still access your photos if you lose any of the cards.

The ride photos can definitely be added. They just need to get the # of their photo and then you can add them all together using your card.

I remember one time a few years ago there was an impressive Disney Visa discount that put the pre purchase price around $79. I keep hoping that will return, but I doubt it.
