Also, if I purchase photopass for my November trip is it only good for that trip or is there a time period, i.e. is it good for a year?

If your next trip will be within a year, why not buy an AP? Photopass downloads are included with APs.

I have a lot of days left on an old no expire ticket (that now expires in 2030) and plan to use that within the next year. So no discount for DVC members?

I'm not seeing a member discount on the DVC website. Several years ago there was a discount code you had to obtain by calling Member Services 45 days prior to your check-in date. You might call and see if they still do that.
