DVC Discount for Disneyland AP?

Has anyone gotten a DVC discount on their Disneyland AP?

I got my renewal notice and there was nowhere on the form to put a discount like DVC. So, I called and they said that the DVC discount was only good for a new AP not a renewal. The discount was just started in May and my AP is due for renewal now, so I never got an opportunity for this discount.

The guy on the phone said it was only a $20 discount, which is the same as an early renewal, so don't worry about it.

I guess DVC perks don't count for much.
Has anyone else had a different experience? I would really like to use a DVC discount if possible.

Everything you were told is correct. The only DVC discount on an AP is $20 off for a new AP. You would need to let oyur AP expire, wait over a month, and then buy a new one.

DVC discounts at DL is a brand new thing and I'm sure some adjustments will continue to be made.
