Not sure if DVC people know this or not but I thought I would post it. We were at the Kennel/lost and found at Ticket and Transportation a few days ago because our son left his cell phone case on the monorail so I picked up this brochure on the kennel. If you are a resort guest it cost 18.00 a night for dogs to stay. If you are DVC it is 17.00 and if you use them for the day....the cost is 15.00. This includes two potty walks and up to two meals per day/night. You can add on services too. They open one hour before parks open and close one hour after the parks close. If you board over night then check out is at noon or they charge another night. Here is the web site www.bestfriendspetcare.com

Also, they are building a brand new state of the art custom center on property. It opens Summer 2009!!!

Is this the new center across from POR?

They have three locations according to their brochure. One says Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Fort Wilderness. I don't know where the NEW ONE is going....maybe it is POR????

My understanding was that it was going to be a whole new structure somewhere near POR. Isn't there a big open lot across from POR? Or perhaps at the end of the street near Ft. Wilderness?

I would consider bringing my fur children with us when we travel to WDW, especially if I knew they were close and being well taken care off. I never did feel the kennels that WDW has had were very "friendly". You had to walk you dog, cat, ferret, etc and such. But a full service boarding facility would be great. We kennel then when you leave on vacations anyway. Might consider letting them come along for the ride.

Maybe they will develop a theme park for dogs :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well our dog is BIG so we won't be bringing her but the prices are great at Disney. I paid 25.50 a night and an additional 7 bucks a day for her to get "extra play time with the daycare doggies" So she gets to hang out with them. So our bill was almost 600 bucks for 17 nights. :scared1: Maybe we should board her at Disney.
