DVC direct pricing, how long does it take now to get ahead, or just break even?

I struggled when I had to pay $165 for my second set of VGF points and i still don't think we would go above that. Took us 7 years to break can't imagine how long now.

Another reason people but just a few more points direct is usually the resale price for contracts under 100 points aren't usually that far off from Direct prices. Say a 50 point or 75 point contract might only be only 20% off direct which doesnt come out too much on a 50 point or 75 point contract for the hassle with resale or those points not having the direct benefits. And sometimes its not easy to find smally contracts for certain months also.

Exactly. My 50-point AKL resale contract was about 32% less than direct, so it was still worth it from a math perspective - but I certainly think now that if I had bought it direct, then I'd also be able to use those points at Riviera, Reflections, and the new DL tower, and I somewhat wish I had bought direct just for that usage in the future.

Does one ever think Disney might reduce the number of how many people can get the AP discounts per contract in the future? Maybe not since they really do need a nice incentive to pay direct pricing?
