Apple Wallet has existed since 2012 (Google Wallet is actually a little older than that), so at a certain point society has to move on from people who refuse to learn new things, right?
It's not just about refusing to learn new things or having a smartphone. Some people just choose to not everything on their phone. Or to not have their phone at all times. Or my battery died so now I'm out of luck.I believe that latest statistics indicate that 96% of the US population owns a smart phone. In the 18-49 cohort it is 97%, in 50-64 it is 90%, and in the 65+ group it drops down to just under 80%. At some point in the VERY near future, based on that 18-49 number, there will no longer be any non-smart phone options available.
I still stand by my qr code comment. It would end all confusion if they just scanned a code and checked ID.
