DVC direct buyers

Hi Everyone, this is only my 2nd time posting a thread or replying, so I'm sorry if it isn't the correct way. We are huge Disney fans who go to Disney World every year to every other year. We just got back from the Disney Dream cruise and fell in love with this! Everyone we talked to on the cruise were DVC members and couldn't believe we were not with all the times we have traveled to Disney. To make a long story short we have called in the past and thought about purchasing DVC direct. We made an appointment with Saratoga Springs when we got back from our cruise and before we had to head back to Minnesota and had the most horrible experience. The sales girl was a complete snot! She kept saying she didn't think this was for us because we had called in the past, but never bought. She would not even shake our hands as we were leaving. We did call in the past but never got an explination of points or how DVC worked. I'm wondering if anyone can give a name and contact of another sales person we could try and work with. I refused to buy when we were there because the girl was so horrible with us. Customer Service and Disney "normally" go hand in hand. Thank you all so much. I love reading all your posts! Very helpful!!!

All the Guide does is process your order, they are not your friend and you really never speak to them again unless you are buying. As in all business relationships, some Guides will stay in touch, some won't, some have a bad day and some are unhappy people. It's all about making a sale.

You can call 800 800-9100, ask for a manager and ask for a new Guide, we are on our third.

We purchased from Disney and used it for going to resorts for about 8 years...our kids are getting older now and we just booked our first med cruise using points only...from what I understand that is one of the benefits of buying direct. Like others have said its what your family plans to do with the points. ..everyone is different...I like having our options open. This one cruise for a family of five is worth over half the principal of the point costs. We first got into dvc because we often had to book two hotel rooms and dvc just worked out better for us. :thumbsup2
