i know if you are doing cash reservations that everyone in the room has to be on the DDP or no one but if you are staying in DVC is it the same?

If we are staying for 2 weeks and dh's cousins come for a night or two do they have to purchase DDP for those days too?

and if they stay in another hotel and we take their kids out for dinner can we pay cash for them while we are on the DDP?

Yes. The ONLY difference in DDP for DVC points stays is that you are not required to buy any ticket media. All of the other DDP requirements apply.

If you are staying for two weeks, everyone in your villa will have to purchase DDP for the entire two weeks. If they are coming only for a couple of days, they'd be much better off in a separate room unless you plan on doing a LOT of 2-TS meals.

Yes, of course. You can (must, actually) pay cash for anyone not on DDP. You will NOT be able to treat anyone not on DDP.
