We (DW, 1 yo DS, and I) are planning on taking a 4 day Disney cruise next June. I have a couple of ?s about making this reservation, and figured this is the best place to turn.

I'd like to use points to pay for one adult and cash to pay for the other adult and DS. Can I only do this through DVC Member Services? I'm sure I could get a cheaper rate elsewhere, but since I'm using points, am I stuck?

Also, since we have been on a cruise before, will I get any Castaway Club benefits by paying cash for one adult and using points for the other?

Finally, does anyone one know of the itineraries for the 4-day cruise next June? I heard that the Freeport stop was being eliminated, but we'd like to take advantage of that stop if it's still available.

Thanks

If you are using points, you will have to go through MS, also, you will have to pay for the other passengers in full, when you make the ressie.

Verandah Man is right, you will have to book the cash reservation through MS. The only time that you can book outside of MS is if you are booking a cabin entirely with cash. You shouldn't have trouble with getting Castaway Club Benefits. Just give them your number when you make the reservation. We were told that it didn't matter if you were using points or cash to get these benefits as long as one person in the cabin is a member of CC. I really don't know about the Freeport stop. Maybe someone else has some info on that. I know that if it were me I would rather have the day at sea. We took the 3-day cruise this past May and without a day at sea we really missed out on a lot that the ship had to offer.
