DVC DCL Cruise?

This year's member cruise is sold out. It sells out the day they open it for reservations. I'm not sure but I think it was sometime in late Sept or early Oct when they opened the reservation.

The booking day for SS Member Cruise 2011 was 10/2/2010 and the cruise sold out that same day. Based on the DCL 2012 dates announced recently, I believe that SS Member Cruise will take place 9/16/2012 - 9/20/2012. DVC should announce the 2012 Member Cruise during this years cruise and full details & booking date should be on the member website by late September.

The Member Cruises are more expensive then a regular 4-night cruise from DCL. In addition to the normal shows in the ship, DVC brings in special guests and entertainment. They have in the past had representives from RCI, ABD and other partners giving presentations. They leave gifts in your stateroom everyday. If you are looking to add-in, they usually have some of the best incentives available during this cruise. As for the cruise itinerary, it makes two stops at Castaway Cay with a sea day between.

As a member who is going on this years cruise if you are planning on going , be preparred for a long day of calling on the day you can make reservations. I had 4 categories in mind and kept the member site up to see how which categories filled up. I had 2 phones going, called for 6 hours, put on hold for 45 min but I got a room. This is the first time I got a reservation for the member cruise and I have been a member since 1999, so I can't wait.
