Hi everyone,

I am someone who has only stayed at BWV and we are now ready to try some of the other resorts. Next on our list is Beach Club. I have a general question. Do the kitchens in the BCV have granite countertops or are they something else? How about in the bathroom?

I can attest that the counters in BWV appear to be Corian, or some type of similar material, and they are white. I am not a fan.

I know I read the BLT is getting granite. Any others?

Thanks!

I am ashamed to say that we own at BCV and I can not answer your question with 100% certainty!

I would have to say that I am 95% certain that they were a type of granite, certainly not all white/solid surface.

The last two trips we have stayed at VWL and SSR and both of those resorts had granite. Since BWV was built before VWL and BCV was built after both of those I would think that the granite would have been used from VWL and later.

I am currently looking for photos from our trips and will post what I find if no one beats me to it.

I looked at the pictures on allearsnet.com, and the BCV counters definately look like granite (as do the VWL ones). But then, countertops in the BWV pictures look like granite too and they definately are NOT!

BCV are granite.
I've only stayed in a studio at BWV and the bathroom counters seemed like a formica to me. Was not a corian which is much nicer than Formica. We were not impressed with BWV at all, but our room was part of the problem. It was really smelly (like it hadn't been opened up in months).

Not to hijack my own thread, but it's really unfortunate that you had that experience. The BW is a fantastic resort with a lot to offer and really terrific staff. But I will agree that I am very VERY disappointed in the way DVC has kept up (or NOT) the rooms there. They are very substandard compared to the rest of the resorts at Disney (DVC and not).

And don't even get me started on the stoves, that' a whole different thread ...

I was only there one night in the studio, so it didn't make me want to complain much. I want to say it was room 4107, near the elevators with a view of the valet area. It wouldn't stop me from staying there again. (BCV is my first love though.)
