I like to bring home the liquid dish soap and boxed laundry detergent (that we don't use at WDW) to use at home. Oh, and the notepads and pens too.

we may or may not have stayed past the 11am check out time to finish drying a load of laundry.

I have taken Pool towels when I cannot get DVC Housekeeping to understand that rooms that sleep 4 needs towels for 4.

I take a couple of pool towels every time I visit the pool. We do return them promptly, but used. My justification is if we had a washer & dryer stuffed in studio, I wouldn't be forced to such illicit behavior. :ssst:

On a recent trip to BWV we crowded 6 into a one bedroom. (sorry..lame I know and I'll try harder to be bad next time)

While we were at BWV in August someone had 11 guests in a 1BR. SIL and BIL witnessed them getting kicked out (it was the room next to them). They saw into their room and said there were airbeds all over the place (like no place to walk). Apparently housekeeping opened the door to see all these people sleeping in there and told the management.

So wow I have wondered about this I felt people who drive in could put an extra one or two in a room. I thought the only way someone could get caught would be to be real blatent like these people were. God every single day in the rooms we put away all pull outs even when we have had lock offs I can't imagine what that room looked and smelled like.

I can't even imagine how crowded that was. When we did it it we had 2 adults and 4 kids (my wife was taking the our kids and their cousins and I was the last minute addition). It was really tight with one air bed and as a result, we didn't really enjoy the room. We won't do that again.

aint nothing wrong with that.
i have read alot of post on other threads about what people have seen. and i cant count the number of times i have been to wdw and have never had the pleasure

We stayed at the Poly in April right when the pool re-opened. I had two family members come from an off property resort to swim :crazy2:

Ok.....I stole soap from the mousekeeping cart. And filled a disney shopping bag with Ice from the ice maching to keep my own beers cold at the pool area. Hey man....it was football sunday with my slingbox on my ipad. I was not paying $8 a beer during football sunday. I won't even pay that in the stadium!

We have definitely taken extra soap and toiletries. I feel like everyone does honestly lol.

I can't think of anything really bad but in the past (before the rfid chip mugs) we never bought new refillable mugs, just brought our old ones year after year for probably 5 or 6 years. No one ever noticed or cared. Even now with the rfid rapid fill mugs, if we have a large group, we only buy 1 or 2 mugs and bring old ones from home, then fill up the new ones to dump into the old ones. It really can save a lot of money in the long run.

That is stealing. Taking the toiletries and dish soap they give you in the room is not stealing but not paying for soda is. Just my opinion.

Each trip we buy at least one refillable mug. It's for unlimited drinks. We just choose to fill up that particular drink mug more than other people may. It costs Disney pennies for that pop any ways. I don't think us sharing one or two mugs is going to break the bank.

I'm not really going to touch this one as there will be back and forth opinions on the price, but yes we bought a mug on a trip and only bought ONE mug and shared it. We would fill up several times....but never did the dump into a new mug. Just because it cost them pennies doesn't make it "not stealing" I'm not passing judgment because I know how little soda actually costs them.....but I also have the option of bringing my own and not paying for it either.

I've gone back and forth of the outrageous prices at WDW, but I also look around while I'm there and can only imagine the operating costs of the entire resort for just 1 day. From the fireworks to the staff, to the busses, to the utilities. It makes me understand why their is a huge markup. Not justify one side or the other.

OP wanted to get a "hot discussion" started so I'll kick start it. So if they are selling refillable mugs per person and because it is no problem for anyone to share mine with a few dozen of my closest friends mugs, how about my parkhopper ? I have a fingerprint reproduction kit we use for training and I could let my closest friends use my magic band some afternoon after i am through at the park - really doesn't cost Disney any extra, I could be there anyway.

Funny you mention that because I noticed this trip my son did not have his fingerprint scanned upon entering the park. My daughter is now 10 and needs an adult ticket and had to scan her fingerprint.....but my son did not. Previously, an adult had to scan their fingerprint upon a child's entry. Now they don't. Since we have AP's, what's to stop someone like me from giving my son's magic band to someone with a boy under 10 to use on their trip in the next year? Without the fingerprint, couldn't any boy under 10 use his band for entry?

I let my friends who were staying at another Disney resort come use the pool at akl. The way I saw it (and reasoned with myself) our room sleeps 4 so they could have been feasibly staying with us but we like our own space. And then at the pool only the boys went in while we stayed out and chatted so there weren't any extra people in the pool...

Just to toss in my 2 cents. I find it funny how folks justify taking what they are not entitled to.. and yet are the same folks that whine about price increases. Business is about projected profits and making up shortfalls.
