DVC Beach Bash - Typhoon Lagoon Hours

Is anyone going to the Beach Bash this year?
I'm really confused, we were told we could get into the park at 7pm and the party would start at 9:30pm.
Well, it looks like Typhoon Lagoon is only open until 6pm on the party nights, will this change when it gets closer? Or was member services wrong and we won't be able to get in until 9:30PM? Seems odd they'd close the park for 3 hours to re-open it again.

I spoke to MS yesterday, getting answers to several questions. The CM I spoke to, when I asked about the Beach Bash, indicated that the busses would start running from the resorts around 8:00 and that guests would be allowed in at 8:30, but the Bash wouldn't actually start until 9:30. I said I thought I was told when I made the reservation that entry could begin at 7:00 and he repeated what he told me. Hopefully my group will be able to stay up long enough to enjoy the Beach Bash. We are planning on rope drop the next morning at MK with an early entry day. Not the best planning

Well that is a bummer. Will we be able to go on the slides between 8:30 and 9:30?

Last year we got to TL at 6:45 and by the time we checked in and got our bracelets it was 7,,went right in and had a great night!!!!

Yes but sadly this year Typhoon Lagoon is closing at 7!

Member services said they are sending an email out today to clarify to everyone what exactly what @gracelrm said above. Take a bus at 8pm or later from your DVC resort and check in to the party at 8:30pm.

This could be a big bummer. With little kids, I was counting on the 7PM entry and letting them stay out later than we normally would. But if we can't get in until 8:30 - ugh may scrap our trip. Big bummer since we are with 30 days. I planned our trip this year around the beach bash.

Was told 8:30 months ago when I booked our tickets. If we went to TL around 4 pm and used one of our WP entries, it won't make sense for them to make us leave at 5 when park closes. What would we do for 3 1/2 hours till they start letting beach bash people in? There should be a way to look up your reservation from inside the park, get your wristband, or whatever way they're tagging people, and let you stay for the party. Surely, someone on the Dis knows a CM at TL. I miss Cheshire Figment.

I'll bet if you call 4 times, you'll get at least 2 different answers.

We are supposed to be at rope drop for Epcot the next day! Not sure how much of the party we will attend either.
