DVC Availability

There have been several posts about availability or lack there of and today I was told by MS that rooms have been removed from available DVC inventory for the guest experience team to use to relocate guests due to construction.

Checking on line shows no availability at DVC resorts for the end of November but the guest experience team has rooms at AKV, BCV, and SSR.

Gotta talk about the original post . Yes, highly accurate - and why every potential DVC member SHOULD home themselves where they actually wish to STAY. WDW still pushes AKV and SSR... as well as that Hawaiian DVC that no human can spell .

HOME DVC members get an 11 month booking window - beating out everyone else. Please, if buying into DVC? Get those points at whatever resort makes you happy . IGNORE the "resort sold out" line.... there are points anywhere due to ROFR's, foreclosures, etc. Get a resale, or call WDW and INSIST on what you want.... either way, you'll get it .

We did this in 2012, through Disney. Once they understood that they were not getting any money until I got what I wanted? Amazingly - it materialized .

Bungalows, we don't want no stinking bungalows. Wilderness lake side cabins are what we want.

Keep in mind that the refurb at bwv is behind. Some have said a month, but I just returned 2 days ago and stayed in a refurbed room on the 5th floor in a standard studio. I was a little shocked to see that the building/wing where the standard rooms are located have not even started on some floors. I explored the resort and they have not even started floors 1-4 of the building side where the standard rooms are which includes the pool/preferred side too. Only the small 5th floor hall is refurbished in that wing. They just started the second corridor in the opposite side building. I rode up in the elevator with 2 construction supervisors and asked when it would be done and they said April 2016. This is not what I read, so was shocked by the answer. I figured they may be refurbishing other common areas too. I also read that folks are being relocated from boardwalk view rooms to pool view now. I watch this info because I have 2 standard studios booked for late October and am hoping not to be moved.
