DVC at Disneyland?

On a recent trip out to DL to check out CA and DL, I stopped by the Grand Californian. Wow - what a gorgeous place! When I was there, a cast member came up to me and we started talking about the hotel and DVC. She told that they may add another building to the Greand Californian and it would be the Vacation Club. Has anyone else heard any info on this? I told her I would luv it if they did, then I could make more trip out to DL and stay on property instead of my once every 3 years trip. I would luv any more info on this if anyone knows. Thanks

We just got back from California and stayed at the new Marriot Newport Beach which was at one time to be a DVC resort then sold to Marriott. It is so beautiful and such a suberb location that I felt that Disney let this one go and really missed an opportunity. We then stayed on site at CA in a room. It was very nice for a room. If the above is true, then mybe that is why DVC gave up Newport Beach. The Marriott was a 35 minute drice and had all the Calif. greats going for it while being close to DL while the GC was a very nice hotel in the best possible location to enjoy the parks. I would be quite pleased if DVC built at GC and we could drive to Newport Beach - best of both worlds!! The DVC decision to not build at Newport is all starting to make sense.
