we have an upcoming trip in 52 days. I already have park tickets that are non expire from previous visits. I’m thinking of getting PhotoPass. Since we’re probably be going for 5 park days, I’m toying with the idea of getting a gold AP to save the non expire tickets for future trips and the cost of PhotoPass. If i buy the AP on day one, I’m assuming PhotoPass starts immediately, correct? Also i already have FastPass reservations. How do i make sure my AP gets used instead of my non expire tickets? Are my FP tied to my existing tickets? Thanks.

Your fastpasses shouldn’t be affected. When you’re getting your AP, just make sure it is prioritized so it gets used before your non expiring pass. I’m not positive about the photopass, but it should work right when you eat your AP.

If your NE pass hasn't been used yet, you can set up a "dummy" friend in your MDE to link it to until you plan to use it, at which time you can link it back to yourself. We use our middle names as "dummy" family members to link them to. We can see those passes in MDE and move them where we want when we want to, as long as they haven't been used. We have a couple of extra passes entered that we won't use for a few years. I know we can have them prioritized at the parks, but with Disney's sometimes iffy IT, I don't trust that it wouldn't get messed up.
