Yes, but if you use any of the "plus" options (water park, golf course, etc), then you can only upgrade the ticket to a Premium AP.

So just to be complete since I didn't see it mentioned, the object is to buy the most greatly discounted ticket that the gate price will be less than the DVC AP cost. If it is valued at more, it will not work and if it has waterparks and you're not getting a DVC PAP, it will not work, correct? (Edited: because someone beat me to it!)

I also had forgotten about the limitation in booking the FPs. If we have tickets for only 4 days intending to upgrade after use, then we can only prebook FPs for 4 days, huh? I guess that's not a big deal. We are going in September...which is a slow time. Will we be able to get FPs for the big rides a few days ahead of time or are they all taken weeks ahead? We will have two park days, a 3 day break, than 8 park days. We will probably use FPs for evenings since we arrive at opening almost every day. Since there are 6 of us who need APs, I'm sure we'll go for the savings no matter what the FP situation is.

A MYW ticket with the WPF&M option can be upgraded to a regular AP as long as none of the WPF&M options have been used. If one of the WPF&M options had been used, the only annual pass one could upgrade to would be the Premium AP.
