DVC AP Renewals...

My DVC AP's EXPIRE August 19 2010. We have now booked another stay from August 28-Labor Day. Can I still renew upon our arrival in Downtown on the 28th and still take advantage of the extended 3 month special for the AP, OR would you take care of this prior to getting there just-in-case something goes wrong? Has anyone renewed AP's before they expire...? I wouldn't mind doing it now so I can avoid a possible price increase in early August (since this has been the pattern?) What do you experts suggest? You can renew your AP +/- 30 days of its expiration date and still get the renewal price (so mid July would be the earliest for you). As for the 15 month offer, I don't know when it ends specifically - only "August" - don't know if it was the 31st or another date in August.

And I also don't know if you can do the renewal/15 month deal remotely or not - I thought I remember Cheshire Figment saying it had to be done in person at WDW, but I'm not sure of that at all. You might check the Ticket Sticky thread in the Theme Parks board to see what he wrote there - I think it's addressed.

Typically Disney raises admission prices in early August (first Sunday???).

I'm not sure if this will impact the price you would pay for an AP renewal in late-August vs late July.

The deal is only for renewals.

Annual passholders can renew their passes and receive an additional 3 months free! That's 15 months for the price of 12!



Until August 31, 2010, renew an annual pass by your anniversary date, (or within 30 days of your anniversary date) you can earn 15 months for the price of 12.

NOTE: Regardless of when you purchase the renewal, your expiration date will remain your original anniversary date.

This is great to know. Our AP's expire on 9/25 so you can be sure I'll be renewing before the end of August! Thanks for the info.
